Treehouse World proudly hosts workshops to teach the craft of treehouse construction. We care about building in a tree-friendly,

safe, and high-quality manner – it is our passion and life’s work. With all new builds, we assure the health and security of the host tree, as well as making sure our materials and construction practices produce a long-lasting product. Our treehouse building workshops follow this philosophy.

Treehouse Building Workshop Basics

The workshops will cover the basics of arboriculture, engineering, and tricks of the trade. We will also be adding to the adventure at Treehouse World

by building new and exciting tree structures. So, pull up a log or join us out on a limb, whether you

want to learn how to build a safe and tree-friendly backyard perch or to stay current with the best practices in treehouse building today.

Treehouse Building Workshop Agenda

Our treehouse building workshops focus on several aspects of the process to help you become more comfortable with building your own treehouse. To begin, our team of Treehouse Experts from Treehouse Supplies and Tree Top Builders lead the more formal instructional sessions. These interactive sessions help make building theories practical, so we can apply them later.

Each treehouse building workshop will feature construction or partial construction of at least one treehouse, tree house platform, or other tree-attached feature. We will teach proper installation of treehouse attachment bolts (TABs) and other treehouse fasteners. As time and schedule allows, we will cover other accessories and features such as ziplines, swings, and bridges.

We also like to build in 1-on-1 time to help you with your upcoming projects. We review your plans for your treehouse or help you get started making them. Bring pictures, measurements of your tree(s), and sketches to help us help you get your project off the ground.

Meals are provided on-site, so you can stick around and expand your knowledge and network.
