Pirate's Cove

The Pirate's Cove is an area designed with kids ages 2-8 in mind. Many of the activities at Treehouse World are for ages 4 & up, so this is where the little ones can burn some energy and earn their naptimes. Some parental supervision is needed for the younger ones in some areas, as minor falls are possible from climbing on logs or nets, but small risks often come with stimulating environments that challenge kids to test out their balance, strength, and imagination.

An elevated walkway surrounds the Pirate's Cove, providing access around 3 sides of the whole area. You can now walk from the hedge row tunnels all the way around to the 3rd level of the Greybeard Treehouse from tree to tree without touching the ground. The walkway also provides access to the Pirate Ship Treehouse and the Buccaneer Zipline.

We crafted 2 tunnels through the hedge row on the south side of the Pirate's Cove, and there are 3 other pathway entrances on the east, north, and west. These are great for games of tag and make the wooded area feel like a secret garden. The area is mostly shaded, which is a nice relief on hot summer days.

Explore, jump and play on our Log Hopper which leads up to the first of the swinging vines. You will also find a log with a Tic-Tac-Toe board on top and a Seesaw made out of a tree that fell on our property. We also keep three sets of stilts to practice or race your friends once you get the hang of it. In the back of the grove are some pipes, pots & pans that you can hit to make noise or music, depending on your perspective 🙂
